Prof. Salman Avestimehr

A globally recognized expert in AI, blockchain, and distributed computing, Prof. Avestimehr is the Dean's Professor of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the University of Southern California (USC), where he also directs the USC-Amazon Center on Trustworthy AI.
He earned his PhD from UC Berkeley in 2008 and has published extensively, with over 18,000 academic citations. His pioneering research has earned him prestigious honors including the Presidential PECASE Award from President Obama and elevation to IEEE Fellow.
Salman is also the co-founder of TensorOpera AI (FedML.ai), a leading enterprise platform for federated and generative AI. His academic influence extends to close collaborations with visionary leaders in the AI and Web3 space.

Dr. Aiden Chaoyang He
Co-founder, President
Dr. Aiden He is a seasoned technologist with deep expertise in AI, blockchain, mobile, and cloud infrastructure. With over a decade of R&D experience at industry giants including Amazon, Meta, Google, and Tencent, he brings hands-on knowledge of building large-scale, production-grade AI systems.
Aiden earned his PhD from USC in 2022 and has authored top-tier research cited over 13,000 times. He co-founded TensorOpera AI (FedML) alongside Prof. Avestimehr, and is the original creator of the FedML open-source library, one of the most widely used frameworks in federated learning.
His notable work includes ex-Meta, Amazon, Tencent, a breakthrough paper that accelerated hybrid model parallelism using PyTorch's DDP and Pipeline modules. Dr. Aiden is the co-first author behind the FedNLP framework, the core decentralized AI technology used by many other crypto AI projects.
